Project Medical Assurance.
Support in evaluating medical arrangements for a specific salvage operation, with assessment proportionate to its risk profile, location and operational demands.
Project-specific review
The operation defines the scope.
No two salvage projects have identical medical requirements. Scope and deliverables depend on the project risk profile and agreed contract, including the evidence available and the stage of mobilisation.
- Operational hazards and workforce exposure
- Location, duration and access to definitive care
- Project medical management and response plans
- Personnel capability and available equipment
- Medical communications and escalation
- Evacuation routes and contingency arrangements
Agreed deliverables
A practical basis for project decisions.
Depending on the agreed scope, outputs may include a review of medical plans, a findings register, risk-ranked improvement actions and a management briefing. Follow-up would be agreed where required. A review is not a guarantee of incident-free operations or a substitute for the operator's responsibilities.
SMA is developing its assurance framework. No established accredited certification programme is offered. Assessments do not replace statutory licensing, clinical credential verification or applicable regulatory requirements.
